Exhibition 'Subida al cielo' by Lúa Ribeira at FIFCYL

We are thrilled to announce that the exhibition 'Subida al cielo' by Lúa Ribeira will tour to the 2024 edition of FIFCYL, the International Photography Festival of Castilla y León.

This fourth edition of the festival will take place in the city of Palencia from April 17 to May 19, 2024 and will feature 91 artists in 21 exhibitions, including Sofía Moro, Gerry Johansson, Niall McDiarmid, Alejandra Carles-Tolrá, Paula Anta, Mauro Curti, Henny Garfunkel and Richard Long among others.

Its director, María Millán, writes about Lúa Ribeira's work: "Between the rural and urban worlds move the characters that populate the universe of Lua Ribeira (As Pontes, Galicia, 1986), one of the three Spanish photographers who are part of the legendary Magnum agency. Her work brings visibility to those who reside in the margins, individuals whom we often overlook or choose not to see. Timeless images that speak from the present in order to reflect deep and existential experiences that remain unchanged amidst the fluctuations of time".
